In 1931, Fraser & Neave formed a joint venture with Heineken and formed Malayan Breweries Limited producing Tiger Beer, they later acquired Archipelago Brewery, which produced Anchor Beer.
In 1990, Malayan Breweries changed its name to Asia Pacific Breweries (APB). In 2012 Heineken took over APB and is now called Heineken Asia Pacific.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
Below are some notes to help identify some of these changes and an aid to reference the year of the glass.

In 1954 Tiger won its first gold medal at the Commonwealth Bottled Beer Competition.
