The South Pacific Brewery Limited was founded in 1951 in Port Moresby. On 26th November 1952, the South Pacific Brewery sold its first product, South Pacific Lager and by 1960, had grown to absorb its competitor the Guinea Brewery. It is now based in Boroko and is part of the Heineken group.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
