Theakston is an English brewery located in the market town of Masham, North Yorkshire. The company is the sixteenth largest brewer in the UK and the second largest brewer under family ownership after Shepherd Neame. The brewery was founded in 1827 by Robert Theakston and John Wood at The Black Bull pub and brewhouse in Masham

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
