The Hobsons brewery was founded in 1993 by the Davis family. The brewery is based in the market town of Cleobury Mortimer, bordering Shropshire and Worcestershire, at the Newhouse Farm (a former dairy farm).

Dog of Two Head - British rock legends Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt (Status Quo) have worked with Hobsons Brewery to craft a traditional chestnut ale, named after the band's 1971 album.
Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
