Additional Information
The story of Liefmans began in the 17th century, when Jacobus Liefmans set up business as a brewer in Oudenaarde, on the banks of the River Schelde. Due to bankruptcy, Liefmans were bought and taken over by Duvel Moortgat in 2008.
Some of the Brewery's Range
Liefmans Kriek-Brut -
Liefmans Goudenband -
Liefmans Oud Bruin -
Liefmans Fruitesse On The Rocks - Introduced in the summer of 2009, as a summery aperitif beer.
Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
Below are some notes to help identify some of these changes and an aid to reference the year of the glass.
